The Honey Badgers @ Dew Point Brewing Co. 9/13/20

 September 13, 2020

Newark, DE duo The Honey Badgers played a stellar show at Dew Point Brewing Co. this afternoon. The group’s original folk tunes provide a mix of soulful vocal harmonies, dynamically sonic guitar playing and perfectly executed fiddle. An array of xylobell sounds and harmonica tops off their sound diversity.

On top of original tunes, the group covered Bob Dylan’s “Don’t Think Twice It’s Alright” and Creedence Clearwater Revival’s “Bad Moon Rising” – Taking these classic songs and putting a unique Americana spin on them.

The two of them kept the crowd engaged with a singalong to their addicting song “Keep Driving”

and ended on a great tune called “South of The Border” – this was a shouted request by someone decently far away from the stage.

Dew Point Brewing was a delightful spot to see some outdoor live music. Serene nature spots were all around. Seating included marked circles in the grass and tables distanced from each other. Be sure to try one of their tasty drinks; I recommend the Lemon Ice.

If you’re looking for a contemporary folk group with a tight live sound and a wide variety of songs, originals and covers alike, The Honey Badgers are an excellent choice.

“What they don’t tell you about long hair is that it gets stuck in instruments all the time!” – The Honey Badgers
